Kallang Master Plan and Transformations

The URA Master Plan for Kallang is set to transform the precinct into a premier lifestyle and commercial destination, directly boosting the value of Kallang Close Residences.

Key developments to look out for:

1. The “Kallang Alive”
   An initiative to transform the area surrounding the Singapore Sports Hub into a vibrant, community-centric sports and lifestyle destination is underway. The plan is set to be completed by 2028 with new lifestyle amenities, including sheltered padel courts, refreshed climbing walls, enhanced waterfront dining, and a new 18,000-seat indoor arena.
2. Kallang River transformation
   As part of the URA’s “Identity Corridor” to make the Kallang River more accessible with new underpasses and improved park connectors. This creates a seamless “green commute” all the way to the CBD. More waterfront sports will be developed over time. These urban enhancements are expected to boost liveability and uplift surrounding property values.
3. Rejuvenation of the Kampong Bugis precinct
   As the government continues to decentralise commercial activities, the proximity to the future Paya Lebar Central and the existing CBD ensures that Kallang Close Residences remains a highly desirable address for both homeowners and high-quality tenants.
4. Old Kallang Airport
   Six land parcels near the former airport site have been earmarked for future commercial and lifestyle developments. Plans for hotels and high-rise office towers with waterfront views around the Singapore Sports Hub, under the Kallang Alive precinct, will further energise the area. These additions are set to enhance neighbourhood vibrancy, broaden the tenant pool, and introduce more dining, leisure, and recreational options close to home.
